Jaipur: A 55-year-old woman was hacked to death in the rural area of Jaipur Regency on Tuesday with unidentified strikers and decided her legs just to take the bracelet, police said.
The woman’s body lay in a puddle of blood in the wooded area of Khatepura Village under the Jamwaramgarh police station found by the villagers in the afternoon, said Lakhan Meena’s officer.
The woman was identified as Geeta Devi from Khatepura Village, he said, adding to him to go to the forest to graze livestock when he was attacked by criminals.
The woman also had deep wounds on her head and her neck, caused by some sharp-eyed weapons with her cut legs near the body, he said.
He said the silver bracelet he was wearing seemed to be taken by the killers.
News of the terrible murder triggered anger in the state with BJP’s Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena which targeted the state government of the incident.
Meena said the leader of Congress Priyanka Gandhi had to record crimes that occurred in Rajasthan too.
“Priyanka Gandhi, who gave a slogan, Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon (I was a girl who could fight), had to see this incident happened in Jamwaramgarh in Jaipur today,” he said.
“Did he find an unsafe woman just in Uttar Pradesh,” he asked.
“The embarrassing facts are that Rajasthan sustains the country in crime against women and the minister’s head is busy hosting you (Priyanka Gandhi) by ignoring the salvation of women,” he said.
