Silchar: A cadre of the HMAR (Democratic) People’s Convention, who was allegedly involved in the kidnapping of a trader, had been arrested from HMMbhawlien in the Lakhipur sub-division of Cachar District.
A police team, based on specific information, performs operations at HMBhawlien on Sunday and captures militants.
He was produced in front of the court, which returned it in a five-day police custody.
Police said militants were identified as Lalremraut HMAR (36).
