Patna: The police restored the body of an RJD activist from the rice fields on the outskirts of Revra Singiyari Village under the Khanpur Police Station area in Samastipur Regency on Saturday.
The victim was identified as Krishna Rai (58), a resident of Revra Singiyari Village.
His wife Hema Devi is a sarpanch candidate from Revra Panchayat.
The poll is scheduled to take place in Pancrayat on 3.

“Rai has a dispute with one of his cousins, Kumar Manish, on the land of six-kattha,” police added.
Samastipur SP Manavjit Singh Dhillon said Rai was shot from behind.
“Rai has left his residence for the fields before sunrise.
The villagers saw his body lying in a pool of blood there and told the police,” he said.
Dhillon said Manish was arrested in connection with this case.

Patna SSP Upendra Kumar Sharma also visited the village on Saturday morning.
He said two pine-one by the dead young youth and the other by the police – would be submitted.
