Ahmedabad: The Indian team on Friday conducted a broad first training session ahead of the ODI series three matches against West Indies visited.
On Thursday, the team had a light session where the players were accompanied by the coach.
But on Friday, except the Trio Shikhar Dhawan, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shreyas Iyer, all supporters and support staff were present for training after negative testing for Covid-19.
The players train under the lights and it is a full session.
It can be understood that the head coach Rahul Dravid introduced young leg-spinner Ravi Bishni to the players.
People like Virat Kohli, Rishabh’s pants and others left in the net while the duo rounded Yadav, which made a comeback to the ODI team, and Yuzvendra Chahal rolled up their arms.
Pacer Mohammad Siraj and the All-Rounder Shardul Thakur also bent in the net.
Openers mayak agarwal is isolation for three days and will be the option for the opening game if Kl Rahul is not available.
Wicketkeeper-Dough Ishan Kiswan, who can also open the innings, also added to the ODI squad.
The Covid-19 outbreak has hit the Indian cricket team on Wednesday as a senior player – Senior Dhawan Opener, Gaikwad’s opening reserve and Shreyas Middle Dough – has been tested positive for viruses during their early series before the start.
Four more Cricketers, including Net Bowler Navdeep Saini, was also tested positive for Covid-19.
Saini is on standby list.
The remaining three tests positively viruses are non-playing members – coach Fielding T Dilip, security liaison officer B Lokesh and Masseur Rajeev Kumar.
The Indian team gathered at Ahmedabad on January 31 for the third Odi against West Indies.
The series began in Ahmedabad on Sunday with the ODI 1000 India match, but now it is a previous conclusion that Dhawan, Ruturaj and Shreyas will lose rubber because they have to undergo isolation for a week and then return with two negative RT-PCR tests.
