Rajkot: Setting examples for aggressive vaccination against Covid, the administration of Surendrangar Regency reaches a remote pilgrimage center in the small Rann Kutch to manage the first dose of the Covid vaccine.
Vaccharaj Beyt is about 25 km from Zinzuvada’s last village in Patdi Taluka.
This place accommodates Vachhraj’s chest temple, the center of the popular pilgrimage.
This temple also runs Gaushala which has around 6,000 cows.
From staff 54 people, 33 was placed in the center of the year because of maintaining a cowhouse.
Ruturaj Jadhav, Prant Officer Patdi, said that vaccination staff reached the center of pilgrims with the help of villagers.
“33 these people were abandoned from drive vaccination, so we contacted them.
We went there with the support of the villagers.
Staff use the tractor to reach the center of the pilgrims,” Jadhav said.
The tractor takes two and a half hours to finish a trip of 25 km.
The worshipers visit temples throughout the year except the rainy season when the area turns into an island.
Even PAN salt workers left the place for about six months because adjacent areas were soaked in rain.
The Surendrangar district has provided ten lats of the first dose and around 3.60 lakh people have obtained both doses.
