ROMA: Italian double Olympic champion Lamont Marcell Jacobs said on Saturday he would try 200 meters in several races next year, moving up from the usual 100m specialty.
Jacobs, who have not competed since winning 100m and 4x100m at the Tokyo Olympics this year, plans to return to the competitive action of NL1N2SR1QZ in Berlin in February.
“This year I will try 200 meters in a few races,” he said in the Italian daily La Stampa in an interview, added it was too fast to suggest he might double the Paris Olympics in 2024.
“It’s one thing to run 200 meters at the meeting, that Others to do it at the Olympics also run 100 meters and relays, “he said.
Jacobs said the training went well that “it scared me to be in the highest form in mid-December.” He will go to Tenerife after Christmas for winter training spells with fellow sprinter to be chosen between four or five candidates including “couples from England”.
Jacobs, 27, also said that next year he will marry a boyfriend, model and influencer Nicole Daza, and want to participate with him on TV shows reality.
“A series on us can be interesting because it will show people like what the life of a athlete is far from the track,” he said.
