Nagpur: City Police, boasting a 42% belief level of seven years until November last year, seems to rely more on a well-known senior lawyer in City as ‘Public Prosecutor’ to achieve success in sensitive cases, such as sensational, like the sensational Baya Binekar Murder Case and Remdesivir Blackmarket Case.
Like the City Police Chief Amitesh Kumar, officers ranked Deputy Commissioner of Police identified and ‘adopted’ 15 serious rape cases to ensure confidence in remembering as a greater sensitivity problem related to cases of cruelty towards women.
With the question mark of the regular public prosecutor, the city police have decided to bind veteran criminal law practitioners, especially former public prosecutors, after government nodded to take important cases for their logical conclusions.
Working at the target to achieve a 65% confidence level, Kumar decided to find government permits to ensure sensitive cases represented by special public prosecutors who were proven to track records and enormous experiences in handling prosecution cases.
“We submitted the cases of blackmarketing remdesivir to advocate for Jyoti Vajani.
Of the eight cases, we have secured confidence in seven and hopes about the last too,” he said.
Kumar also handed over cases of binekar to former public prosecutors, Vijay Kolhe and McOCA related cases to advocate Chavan considering experts on this issue.
Kolhe said CP had a power under the criminal procedure code (CRPC) to seek government sanctions to appoint a special public prosecutor and there was also the Supreme Court guidelines.
“The Witness Protection Program is also equally important for the level of confidence.
The investigative officer must follow up with the court for the trial,” he said.
CP said that the standard operating procedure (SOP) has been formulated for better coordination and following up on the judicial process other than the regular review meeting of the Constitution (also known as the participant officer of the PitaBisi) represented in the courtroom.
“We coordinate with the court to ensure calls and orders are issued and presented.
Muddemal properties are also ready to try to occur,” he said.
The calendar of evidence in all murder cases (around 94 in 2021) was being prepared and examined on different hierarchies from the city police.
“We are studying the guarantee command to ensure the reason they are allowed,” Kumar said.
