Jaipur: A 22-year-old man was arrested from the Kalwar Jaipur area because of his alleged involvement in sharing children’s pornography on social media after complaints from the US-based organization, said Rajasthan police said Tuesday.
Rajasthan police identified the defendant as one Kushwender Singh.
Singh had been accused of watching and circulating pornography of children and the telephone was confiscated by the police to be investigated.
The police claimed in a statement that Singh was examined for seeing child pornography on social media, and divided it with others.
The state police stated that the US-based organization, the National Center for lost and exploited children (NCMEC) complained about the national cyber crime reporting portal about the incident.
The police investigated complaints and found it into a case of child pornography, so that FIR was submitted under the relevant section of the IT law.
The police claimed that the technical analysis of the Suspect IP address, cellphone number and social media account was completed, which led them to Singh, a resident of Kalwar Road in Jaipur.
Police Rajasthan claimed that they received information about the incident from the National Crime Note Bureau (NCRB).
In accordance with the police, both NCRB and NCMec have an agreement on sharing information and NCMEC also has a similar agreement with the leading social media website.
Police said that further investigation was ongoing to find out about the people passed by Singh on the video.
Police said that the Defendant’s mobile SIM was also confiscated by telephone.
Police Rajasthan said that there was a global monitoring of people involved in child pornography and strict actions would be taken against those who said the law.
