Coimbatore: City Police arrested the native of Rajasthan to steal 20.5 lakh from two cellular stores in Gandhipuram on December 13 and recovered 9.5 lakh from him.
The person arrested was identified as Prithvi Bharti, 27, from Valera in Jalore Regency.
Introductory investigation revealed that Prithvi had reached coimbatore with accomplices on December 13 by train.
“They decided to steal two cellular stores owned by two entrepreneurs based in Gandhipuram.
At night, they opened a shop owned by Pratap on eight roads and other stores owned by Durgaram.
The thieves took 20 lakh from the Pratap store and 50,000 from the Durgaram store, “said a team of police officers camped there for five days and with the help of the local police, arresting Prithvi Bharti.Tnn
