Vadodara: A 24-year-old man who lives in Gorwa was dragged by strong water flow from the Mahisagar River in Savli on Friday.
The man, identified as Sharadkumar Shashidharan, has gone to Lanchhanpura Village with his friends for sightseeing.
Shashidharan and his three friends went swimming in the river when Shashidharan was dragged by strong water flows.
His friends were looking for help from the locals but when they failed to find Shashidharan, the fire brigade was called from Vadodara.
Throughout the day, firefighters looked futile for Shashshidharan.
Search operations continued on Saturday, but it did not produce any results until night.
Firefighting officials said that when the river was in the Spate due to heavy rainfall recently, it was difficult to find the man.
The fire brigade will continue their search on Sundays too.
District administration has forbid people from entering the river in Lanchhanpura and has placed a warning board at the bank.
However, people continued to risk their lives and many who died of drowning there.
