Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Government is ready to start the MBBS course in Hindi at Gandhi Medical College from the next academic session, Minister of Medical Education Vishwas Nest said on Tuesday.
The minister said the country would be the first to offer MBBS courses in Hindi.

The 14 committee of members led by the Director of Medical Education Dr.
Jiten Shukla has been based on preparing a work plan for Hindi MBBS curriculum, “he told PTI.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made announcements on Republican Day about teaching MBBS and other medical courses in Hindi, after the department taking this step, the Minister added.
“The minister has spoken with subject experts a few days ago to get a book prepared in Hindi for the first year of MBBS students in front of the Atal Bihari Hindi University and Gandhi Medical College Functionaries.
Lecture will also be delivered in Hindi,” said Public Department officials state relations.
“In the first phase, students who choose Hindi because the instruction media will be taught in Hindi and English each for two months.
The following steps will be taken after their assessment.
In the second phase, a complementary book for anatomy, physiology and biochemical subject will be prepared, “he said.
