Thiruvananthapuram: The problem of alleged suicide of victims of sexual harassment from the community resigned in the district rural section has attracted the attention of the Minister Veena George who handles the development portfolio of women and children.
The Minister on Saturday directed the female secretary and the development of children to investigate the problem and submit a report.
Recently, a series of suicides were reported under the boundaries of the Vithura and Palode police station where young girls who faced sexual abuse were found dead because of suicide.
As many as five deaths were reported in the past two months.
