Rajkot: Solving a sensational joot-angadia case in two weeks, Branch of Local Crime (LCB) Police Surdendranagar arrested four people, including a famous criminal who was on his way since 2016.
The defendant had looted 80 lakh rs for the owner of the company on December 27.
The police arrested Lakhu Khachar who escaped, 43, and three of his mercy – Chapraj Khavad, Amba Dabhi and Laldas Meswaniya.
The police also recovered Rs 44 lakh from the total accused booty had been looted.
Khachar, a murder convict, has jumped parole in 2016 and fled since then.
After jumping parole, he carried out nearly 10 crimes including murder in a Surendranagar district village.
Police said that on December 27, the four defendants had robbed the owner of the company Angadia Girish Pujara near his home in Chitrakut Society located on Jalan Chotila-Thangadh at around 8:30 a.m.
The first accusation threw chili powder in Pujara’s eyes, but when he managed to avoid the attack, they pointed to a revolver made by the country.
Fourth then grabbed a bag containing cash from Pujara and fled to the hill near the village of Kalanda.
The defendant distributed booty between them and spread.
One person, Alku Kathi, who had tip Khachar and the others about the Pujara movement on December 27, was still runaway.
All accused of being natives from various Surdranagar villages.
Meswaniya waited outside the Pujara shop and made a call WhatsApp as soon as the last one went to his house.
“While scanning CCTV recordings from the people and the nearest area, we saw Khachar.
Various teams were formed and he was tracked near the village of Sarangpur botad where we called him from a farm.
He revealed the names of other defendants who were then arrested,” said MD Chaudhary, Inspector Police, LCB.
