Gurgaon: a group of Muslims approached the police on Thursday with a request to bend the FIR submitted earlier this week against former Rajya Sabha Mohammad Adeeb and two members based on complaints from a man who was related to Namaz recently in public spaces.
Fir.
was registered at the Sector 40 police station against Adeeb, Abdul Hasim Kashmi and Mufti Mohammad Salim Kashmi after Dinesh Bharti quoted a newspaper report to say that they had claimed a plot of land – which belonged to them and accused him of avoiding riots.
The three were ordered below in Section 153 and 34 (general intentions) of the IPC at the Sector 40 police station on other Tuesdays through media reports.
“Fir that was submitted in the complaints of Dinesh Bharti, which had been ordered and sent to prison earlier because it disturbed Harmony together and incited violence in Gurgaon,” said Mufti Salim.
Adeeb is the face of the Muslim Gurgaon Council, a group formed by several Muslim citizens in the city after Row Namaz.
On Wednesday, Adeeb had told Tii, he did not even realize the location of the questioned land and the case was submitted without questions or investigations.
Mufti Salim said he had never made a comment quoted by Bharti.
“I did not issue such a statement to newspapers and in the public domain that a mosque will be built in sector 40,” he said, adding that the complaint intention was to harass it.
He accused Bharti to misuse the government machine against him.
The police confirmed receiving complaints.
“We will look at him,” said a senior police officer
