The NAAC team starts UOM’s assessment

Mysuru: Team six members of the National Assessment and Accreditation (NAAC) started their reviews at UOM on Wednesday.
The NAAC team, led by Suhas Pedneka, VC, Mumbai University was welcomed by UOM VC G Hemantha Kumar, R Shivappa registrar and other officials in the morning.
The team has been divided into several subgroups to carry out assessments.
The team will be in Uom until Friday.
Team members tend to visit two UOM postgraduate centers in Chamarajanagar and Hassan.
This is the fourth cycle of re-accreditation and re-assessing by the NAAC counterpower team.
The last time the university’s re-accreditation and the university’s rear assessment was conducted in 2013.
That year, the NAAC colleague’s team accredited Uom with a CGPA score of 3.47 on a scale of four points and was given a class with a good description.
According to the authorities, the assessment will be made for 1,000 marks.
Documents for 700 signs have been sent.
The team peers carrying out reviews for the remaining 300 signs.
Previously in 2000, Uom was the first university in the state that was accredited by NAAC with five-star status.
The second assessment cycle was conducted in 2006 and the UOM was considered at the + level.
