New Delhi: Abundant Theories Why Sir Syed Ahmad Khan decided to establish an educational institution in Aligarh and not another city but the new book tried to offer a definitive response to it.
The reason might lie in “AAB-O-E-Eawa” (water and air), among the other factors, offered by the region found by Islamic-Reformer education after strict research and convincingly concerned about establishing a school that will occur Muslim University Aligarh prestigious (amu).

Khan has established the MAO School (Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental) on May 24, 1875 as a higher learning chair for students who mix the best of Oriental and Western knowledge and science.
Two years later, it developed into Mao College.
It became Amu only in 1920.
But why is Aligarh?
“Sir Syed conducted extensive research before deciding the site for the campus visualized.
He consulted a doctor and many other famous people regarding various problems related to the mental and physical welfare of the ward, he intends to maintain on campus,” Khalil wrote.
A detailed account, he noted, was sent to Khan which stated that “AAB-O-Hawa” Aligarh “is very suitable” for the intellectual and physical welfare of an individual.
“Aligarh is in the Doab region in North India.
His topography is in the form of a bowl and located between two mounds, making it a very fertile area.
The water level and water quality is quite good,” Khalil said in this book.
“Also, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, friends with England, realized that many buildings left by them lay empty and can be donated to college.
Cottage VC and PVC are currently among such buildings left by English,” Khalil, AMU alumni, added.
The next author said that the trade of salt, paprika and Indigo was the main job of the residents of Aligarh at that time and Chauakans, Jadavs, Khwajas, Servanis, Lakhani Rajput was the main resident of Aligarh.
“The class of people changed after 1947 because many migrated to Pakistan,” Khalil said, who had previously written “many summers”, a work on contemporary Urdu literature.
With the introduction by AMU VC Tariq Mansoor, this book runs nearly 300 pages and flavored with legends, myths, and photos, including black and white, related to Amu and its predecessor Mao College.
The book dedicates the chapters for famous alumni from the University – Akbar Allahabadi, Altaf Hussain Hali, Asrar UL Haq Majaz, among others, because they also talked about “Tehzeeb” (culture) of the city and changing atmosphere over the years.
This book is also full of temple and shooters in the city of Aligarh, University, Culture and its people.
