Vadodara: While the number of new and active cases in the city and the district has experienced dramatically, this is not reflected in the number of patients in serious conditions.
There is only a marginal decline in the number of patients in the ventilator or bipap machine.
The number of new cases reported in the city and district on Wednesday was less than one fifth of the number of cases reported on February 1 and dropped to 406 of 2,196.
Also, the number of active cases dropped significantly to 4,704 of 16,782.
However, the number of patients who supported fell by only a few of 27 to 23 during this period.
The number, in fact, rose on February 6 and had begun to fall only after that.

Sheetal Mistry said that most patients in critical conditions were those who had comorbidity.
“This time there were almost no people who experienced serious conditions mainly because of Covid-19.
Many even have comorbidity avoiding Covid tests and having to rush to the hospital only when they change seriously,” he said.
At all, hospitals in the city have 33 patients on bipap or ventilators.
These include 27 patients from the city and the Vadodara district and the rest from other places.
The highest number of patients is recognized at the SSG hospital which has seven patients on the Ventilator or Bipaps.Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) Medical Officer Dr.
Devesh Patel said that a slower decline in the number of inpatients is expected because many of them serious conditions.
“In the current wave, only patients who have severe symptoms are hospitalized.
Patients seriously take the time in recovery,” he said.
