Gurgaon: Faridabad on Monday reported 110 new Covid-19 cases, the largest one-day calculation in the past seven months.
The last time the city has recorded more cases on May 30, 2021 when 114 people were tested positively.
The case count has now increased to 1,00,496, with 435 of them active.
The city also recorded two new Omicron cases on Monday – a six-year-old girl whose mother had traveled to France and was tested positive for a variant and a student with the history of US journey.
The two patients were in house isolation, according to Dr.
Vinay Gupta, Faridabad’s medical head.
With this, the calculation of omicron cases in the city has increased to eight, where two are active cases.
Dr.
Gupta said testing had increased and special camps were held in places where the cases were reported.
