Rajkot: The owner of the oil factory in Gujarat opposes the central decision to impose shares on the oil that can be eaten to curb a price increase.
In the letter aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the association of oil factory owners said that the stock limit had been put in place when Kharif’s plant oil seeds were expected to flood the market.
The Government Government on Sundays imposed an edible stock limit to March 2022.
“The large number of domestic oil seeds will come in the market.
The arrival was delayed due to persistent rain,” Oil Edible State Gujarat and the oil seed association stated in the letter.
Samir Shah, President of the Association, said, “Afraid of interference by government government will not buy this plant in large quantities and as a result, the price of oil seeds tends to fall under MSP.
So, this step is not necessary.” The letter also questioned that if ‘ All edible oil importers are excluded from the stock limit of the past why local and manufacturers are targeted? ‘ The owner of the oil factory stated their fear that farmers would not get adequate prices because of this stock limit.
For Indian consumption, 65 percent of oil can be eaten imported.
The government in the past few months reduced import duties twice and enabled fine palm oil free imports.
Gujarat is the largest producer of peanuts and peanut oil.
The average production of peanut plants in Gujarat is around 30 lakh tons.
