Mysuru: In the midst of a surge in Covid cases in Tamil Nadu and Kerala neighbors, Chamarajanagar District Administration has formed a three-member committee involving teachers, Angganwadi activists and Asha workers to create awareness among villagers about the importance of vaccination.
These teams in preparation of villages, meet and urge people to make themselves vaccinated and make their village free Covid.
Committee members also cleanse doubts about villagers about vaccination.
Perhaps the third wave is likely to affect children, the team also encourages their children and mothers, especially those who have a problem of lack of weight and malnutrition, to get treatment at the nearest phC or hospital.
In accordance with sources in the Department of Welfare of Women and Children, the government has identified 81 severe acute malnutrition, 5,331 moderate acute malnutrition children in this district.
The instructions have been given to the team to regularly carry out children’s health checks.
Following government directives, nurses and PhC doctors have begun to treat children with the help of pediatrics.
Although the number of active cases fell to 80 on Friday, the authorities increased the daily test sample of 1,200 to 2,200 to examine the possible virus.

M District Health Officer Ravi told Stoi that they had taken the necessary steps to overcome the spread of the virus, including strict filtering at the checkpoint and raised awareness among villages with assistance from committee members.
“Community cooperation in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the appropriate behavior of Covid is very important to fight a pandemic,” he said.
