Amritsar: Former MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife namesake Committee Punjab Pradesh (PPCC) President Navjot Singh Sidhu, on Tuesday said he still felt his husband was the most suitable candidate to become the face of the Congress Party Minister.
The campaign in the constituency of the Assembly of Amritsar Sidhu, Navjot said, “There is no criterion to put someone in a high position.
I think only your details are, such as reward, education, work, honesty and all these things, must be calculated”.
Emphasizing that her husband’s punjab model will bring the country out of the tribulation within six months, he said: “Apart from him being my husband, I will never guarantee it if he is not capable.
I believe that the punjab model is so good that within six months, punjab Will come out of this (chaos now).
“He also answered in affirmative when asked whether the party leader Rahul Gandhi was misled before he announced the face of CM Party.
On the other hand, Punjab PCC claims claim that his income has dropped dramatically over the past few years.
“I used to get Rs 20 Crore to Rs 30 Crore in a year, but now my income goes down to only Rs 60,000-Rs 70,000, which we get from the showroom rental that we have bought in 1995.
My wife met with this income,” he said.
He said he did not regret because he fought what he described as ‘Rashtriya Dharam Yudh’ (national battle) and he and his wife demanded something in return.
“Hamay Watan Sae Ishq Hi (we love our nation),” he said.
