Nagpur: After Nagpur Municipal Corporation forbade Nylon Manja’s sales, Amitesh Kumar City Police Chief also issued a notification under the Code of Criminal Procedure (CRPC) 144.
He added that the online shopping portal will be asked not to receive or send orders in Nagpur.
Earlier this year, the 20-year-old pranay throat was gap by Nylon Manja at Imambada.
76 people, ordered last year, were summoned and warned by Kumar against use, sales, stocking or distributing Manno spoiled.
Drones and cellular supervision vehicles will be deployed to maintain a watch during the flying kite season.
The police planned to hold a meeting with the NMC and Maharashtra pollution control boards about this issue.
“We will follow the high court order,” Kumar said.
Cyber Crime DCP Chetna Tidke has made Nodal officers.
“He will meet with a representative of the shopping portal and forward the decision taken,” Kumar said.
Kumar also urged zonal DCPS and senior police offices on charges to start taking action.
“We will act against residents who violate the rules and also to be led to places where material is prohibited from being purchased,” he said.
The police sought help from kite sellers, shop owners and their associations in eradicating Middle Manja from the city.
“Actions will also be taken through strict environmental laws,” Kumar said.
