Rajkot: The mystery behind the death of a 70-year-old man whose body was found on his farm in Virnagar Village Jas and Taluka from Rajkot on Friday was solved on Wednesday.
Police arrested Sanjay alias Pratap aka Pravi Chorodia (28), a native of Mota Dadva Village in Gondal Taluka from Rajkot, for the murder of the Vekaria Shanker, a resident of Virnagar Village.
Chorodia was used to work as a farm laborer on the Vekary agriculture with his wife.
According to the police, Chorodia killed Vekaria when the last demanded sexual assistance from his wife.
On several occasions, Vekaria had forcibly held Chorodia’s wife.
When Chorodia’s wife told him about the intention of the old man, he decided to hit him, police said.
Vekaria was found dead with his legs tied to a wooden pillar on his farm on June 25.
He also choked with cloth.
There was no sign of injury on his body.
