Palanpur: Police in Aravalli Regency, Banaskantha and Sabarkantha, bordering Rajasthan have increased Vigil at an examination post between countries to smuggle liquor in front of the new year.
Likewise, the police from Rajasthan also intensified the examination.
Security has been tightened at a large checkpoint such as Ratanpur’s border in Aravalli District, Rani and Kheroj in the Sabarkantha and Neenava District in Banaskatha.
According to the Sabarkantha police supervisor, Neeraj Badgujar, vehicle checks have been intensified as a bootleggers seem to be active as a new year’s approach.
“The demand for liquor grew phenomenally during the new year.
Because of the increase in Covid-19 cases, pora parties during the new year have raised worries,” he added.
Vigil clock at a glance is also intended to stop criminal activities.
According to Deputy SP Bharat Basiya, the examination will continue until January 1, 2022.
