AJMER: The Syed Board of Zainul Abedin Ali Khan from Dargah Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti on Monday commented on the controversial hijab row of Karnataka.
He said that wearing a headscarf is the constitutional right and religion of Muslim women and stopped this is a violation of that right.
He added that to deal with all kinds of speech hatred, there is a need to change the Indian criminal code and criminal procedure code.
Releasing a press record, Khan stated that in the 810nd annual URS, the meeting of religious leaders from various Dargah was carried out here.
Overcoming the meeting, the Board said that there should be no prohibition on wearing a headscarf because all students have independence to wear their religious symbols.
He added that the prohibition of the hijab not only challenged constitutional rights but also prepared a communal atmosphere.
He added that this incident did not only encourage communal violence in India but also globally.
To stop such incidents, it is important for everyone to gather and do their duties.
“We must fight with communal forces with unity and goodwill,” added the council.
In hatred’s speech, the Board said that there was a punishment for inflammatory speech and dividing.
He appealed to political parties and their leaders not to use politics to divide people.
“We must understand that development and success cannot be achieved through weapons and terrorism, but with hard work and dedication,” he said.
“Onus is in Dargah to spread the brotherhood through a shared harmony.
It is important that young people must be stopped from embracing extremism and terrorism, instead they have to look at education,” he added.
