Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate Langar Hall (Community) and other public comfort blocks built in the Phase-I Regional Development Project Seer Gowardhanpur, the birthplace of Sant Ravidas, to the nation on Thursday.
This project is worth RS 5.35 Crore aims to develop and add facilities for worshipers to visit the birthplace of Sant from all over the world.
During his visit to the city on Thursday, PM will provide a gift project worth Rs 2,095.67 Crore, said Kaushal District Judge Raj Sharma added that, PM will inaugurate 22 projects completed by Rs 870.16 Crore and will lay the foundation of the five new projects of RS 1225.51 Crore.
Among the projects that have been completed to be inaugurated by PM Modi One are Langar Hall and Public Convenience Block at the birthplace of Sant Ravidas in Seer Gowardhanpur, he added.
Although Saint Ravidas has many followers throughout the world, his followers, especially belonging to the dominant section above and Punjab.
After the Bunganjan Samaj Party Supremo Mayawati attended the celebration of Ravidas Jayanti in CM capacity in 2008 and had gifted golden to the temple, the birthday celebration of Sant Ravidas and the temple began to attract politicians.
In 2011, the former Congress President Rahul Gandhi reached the temple to bow his head.
But, the birthplace of Sant Ravidas began witnessing a rise in politicians after Modi took part in the celebration of Ravidas Jayanti in February 2016 and discussed the meeting of Sant’s followers after offering prayers at Ravidas Temple.
Minister of Man Delhi Arvind Kejriwal also visited the Sant Ravidas temple on the same day.
In 2018, the Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister also attended Ravidas Jayanti and after a large project visit for the development of the birthplace of Sant in the Seer Gowardhanpur area was announced with a budget of Rs 15.17 Crore.
Once again on February 19, 2019 PM Modi reached Ravidas Temple on the occasion of Ravidas Jayanti.
Following this development, Yogi not only continues to monitor the work done there but also visited for the inspection of the Seer Gowardhanpur Regional Development Work.
On November 28, CM Yogi took the stock of work done and asked PWD officials to speed up phase-i worked and also made the way to the Ravidas Temple free of holes.
DM said that of the total land identified near the temple to develop a park with the bronze statue of Sant Ravidas, the maximum land had been obtained.
Strengthening three roads that connects the temple with Lanka and national highways is also ongoing, he said.
Officials also took stock of other prepared projects including the construction of the Kashi environment, including Kalabiraav, Raj Mandir, Dashaswamedh, Jangambari, and Gadhawasi Tolia Phase-1, installing a facial supervision camera in 720 sites, rebuilding Beniabagh Park and Surface Parking Construction, Urban Revitalization road repair projects and intersections, development and beauty of Nadesar and Sonbhadra Pondand 50 MLD STP in Ramna.
Hostels for Doctors, Nurses and Dharmshala at Mahamana PT Madan Malaviya Cancer Center Bhu, Teacher Education Center in Bhu, 160 Flat Housing in Jodhpur Colony of Bhu, Community Hall and Seed Breeding Facilities under the International Rice Research Institute – South Asia Regional Campus of the Regional Center, The new building center of the teacher education at the Tibetan Center Institute of Tibet Studies in Sarnath and 13 houses in the ITI government in the Karudi area, will also be inaugurated.
