Nagpur: Nagpur hospitality business owners upset over the treatment of types of citizens ‘second class’ which ditumpuhi town compared to Mumbai and Pune.
Operating hour restaurants in Mumbai and Pune 3.5 hours longer than in Nagpur.
Tejinder Singh Renu, President Nagpur Residential Hotels Association (NRHA), led a delegation to meet the district collector R Vimala and requested that the same hours of operation are allowed to Nagpur.
“In Mumbai and Pune, you can eat in a restaurant until 1.30 in the morning.
But in Nagpur, complete closure occurred at 10 pm.
This is a clear case of discrimination again and hospitality businesses had been hit,” says Renu.
Cap on the number of participants in the wedding is also a bone of contention.
Renu said, “The number of people who can attend social events is 200 in Mumbai and Pune.
But here, limited to 50.” He said considering the number of positive cases are declining, it is time to extend the timings.
“Timing restaurant should be permitted under the license timing, of course with a capacity of 50%.
Also, the number of guests permitted for weddings or social events should be increased up to 50% of capacity Hall / Lawn with a maximum of 200 people,” says Renu.
The delegation also contacted the Guardian Minister and told him about the huge difference in the operational timing of restaurants.
Renu said, “From the official citizenship to public representatives, we have received assurances that these issues will be seen.
However, until now, nothing really happened.” The owner told TOI that the official page of citizens Nagpur always be on the defensive.
“Their default setting is to keep everything locked up.
It seems that our officials do not want to see things from a practical standpoint.
Both the Commissioner and District Collector City we have a defense strategy which basically means that businesses must be closed,” said the owner.
