Hyderabad: To save a 70-year banyan tree and transfer it, a one-half kilometer stretch is being widened to facilitate transportation.
The 12-foot road is expanded to be at least 18 feet so that the big crane carries a 50-60 foot tall with the circumference of at least 15 feet can be taken to the place to be translocated from the village of Suddala in KonaraOpet Mandal in the district of Rajanna Sirza.
MP Rajya Sabha J Santhosh Kumar has taken responsibility for getting a tree translocation carried out and his office coordinates with Prakruti Prakash, a tree lover, who revives the banyan tree after being removed and almost dries.
The ‘Foundation Vata’ team uses its expertise in preparing tree translocation.
The non-profit organization works to save the tigers and forests and urban bio diversity by transluxing the trees that are fully planted and distributed bio-diverse fonds.
Although the 32-year-old Prakash intended that the tree was translocated at a government school in the village, a survey taken in the village has shown that a large crane with a 70-year banyan tree will not be able to wind itself through a small lane in the village.
Manufacturing large vehicles in the curve and bends also won’t be possible.
For this reason, it has now been proposed to get a tree translocation carried out at the Rajanna Sircilla Collectorate place which is only a few kilometers from the village.
“Translocation must be done scientifically.
A team of Vata Foundation has worked in fallen trees to be able to lift it and facilitate transportation.
As far as funding, they are provided by Santosh Kumar who responds positively when he knows about fallen trees,” said the lover of Prakruti Tree Prakruti.
