Dubai: The battle of coalition led by Saudi in Yemen said on Wednesday that it had helped Iran’s ambassador abroad before he died, rejecting Iran’s accusations that the evacuation of the envoy had been postponed.
Iran said on Tuesday says Hasan Irlu, Iran’s ambassador to run North Yemen Houthi, has died of evacuation from Yemen, suggesting Saudi Arabia delay his departure from the capital, Sanaa.
The coalition, which has been fighting the Houthi movement which is in harmony with Iran since the beginning of 2015, said that in a statement it had facilitated Irlu’s repatriation and had arranged the Iraqi medical plane to fly it from Sanae to Basra in Iraq.
It was said that he began facilitating the transfer of IRlu from Sanaa about humanitarian land, given the mediation of Oman and Iraq, within 48 hours to be informed about his health condition.
It has provided logistical permission and support for air force medical evacuation of the Iraqi C-130 who took Irlu out, said the Turkish Al-Malki coalition spokesman.
The coalition does not say in a statement what medical conditions suffered by IRlu.
Saudi Arabia and Iran, Sunni and Shiite Muslim Powerhouses in the region, are bitter rivals but they launched direct talks this year because global strength tries to save the nuclear pact with Iran and as a UN effort to end the Yemen war has stopped.
Last December, the US treasury underestimated Irlu and described it as an elite quds Iranian official, the arm of Iran’s revolutionary guards and the pillar of Iran’s efforts to project power in Yemen, Syria and elsewhere.
Two Yemeni political resources and foreign sources have said IRLU recently kept a low profile due to disease and political tensions.
The Saudi LED coalition intervened in Yemen in 2015 against Houthi after the movement overthrew internationally recognized government from Sanaa.
