Berlin: German court on Tuesday punish a man raping a 11-year-old girl while wearing a wolf mask and sentenced him to 12 years in prison.
During the District Court in Munich, the 45-year-old defendant claimed to drag the girl to the bushes in the extensive noon and attacked him in June 2019.
The man had a criminal record for sexual violations and previously ordered into psychiatric care, Germany news agency DPA reported.
The Munich court ordered that he must remain detained after he presented a 12-year sentence, the legal option was sometimes used in Germany when the defendant was considered a dangerous violator.
The prosecutor had sought a 14-year sentence, while the defense had asked the man to be sent to a psychiatrist hospital, on the grounds that the legal responsibility was reduced by mental illness.
