Cairo: The bulk carrier shiped on Thursday at the Suez Egyptian canal, briefly blocking traffic in a crucial global water tract, said the Egyptian authorities.
The Canal Suez authority said in a statement that the Coral Crystal was marked by Panama ran aground in a double channel stretch, forcing officials to redirect other ships in the convoy to another route to the lane.
The two convoy transit channels every day: one north to the Mediterranean and south-tied to the Red Sea.
It was said that the canal delay managed to float the South ships, which carry a cargo weighing 43,000 tons.

Admiral Ossama Rabei, Chief Channel Suez, described the incident as a “very short foundation,” which was resolved by “professional ways.” Safwat geoge, a canal spokesman, said 61 ships, brought a total of 3.2 million tons of cargo, which was stated in the Suez Channel on Thursday.
“Traffic (on the canal) did not have a negative impact at that time,” because it was directed to another pathway, he said.
Officials have not said what caused the ship to run aground.
The width of nearly 225-m (738 feet) and more than 32-foot (104 feet) was built in 2012.
On the way to Port Sudan in the Red Sea, according to Marine traffic, a ship tracking company.
The incident on Thursday came less than six months after the massive panama made in a single lane track.
The hulking ship blocked the canal for six days before being released in a massive rescue effort by the Tugboat fleet.
The initial blockage this year interferes with global delivery.
