Shivamogga: Seven months after Hunasodu Blast, Shivamogga police have scientifically established the identity of the sixth victim.
They have used the DNA test to confirm that the victim Shashi, 32, a resident of Bhadravathi Taluk.
The explosion, which took place on January 21, has claimed the life of six workers.
While the identity of five was established, the identity of the sixth person could not be established convincingly.
When Shashi’s parents complained that he had disappeared, the police collected their samples and matched them with the remnants of the sixth victim.
Shivamogga SP BM Laxmi Prasad on Monday told reporters that families of five victims they had identified their bodies within a week.

“Another body found on the explosion site scorched beyond recognition.
