Vadodara: A slaughterhouse in the city will remain closed on Monday to mark the anniversary of the Minister of Gujarat (cm) Vijay Kupani.
The BJP City Unit President Dr.
Vijay Shah said on Sunday that he had appealed to the operator of all slaughterhouses in the city to remain closed as they did during Mahavir Jayanti.
“Cm is not just animal lovers but also Jain people.
Non-violent principles in Jainism include not killing and eating animals.
Therefore, I have appealed all operators to keep the slaughterhouse closed and they also agreed,” Shah said.
He said that this for the first time the Cutting House in Vadodara would remain closed to mark the birthday cm.
