Bhubaneswar: Surya Narayan Patro’s speaker has written a letter to the Law Minister Kiren Rijju expressing displeasure of his recent reply at Rajya Sabha where he claimed the center had not received a resolution from the legislative council in Odisha.
Patro, in his letter on Monday, has also been seeking an investigation of the communication gap between the ministry because where the Minister of Law is a union must provide an ‘wrong’ answer at Rajya Sabha.
“I mentioned in my letter that how unfortunately said that the center had not received a resolution on the formation of the legislative council in the state.
It has also been mentioned that the Ministry of Law may not not tell him correctly about the resolution sent from Odisha.
There is a need for investigating this problem, “Patro said.
The speaker said another letter, which was a reminder of the resolution sent on September 18, 2018, has also been sent to various ministries and general secretaries from the two parliamentary houses by the Assembly Secretariat.
“I hope I will get a reply from the Law Minister of Uni,” said Patro.
The Assembly has passed the resolution on September 6, 2018 to have a legislative council in the state, and the same copy was sent to the center on September 18, 2018.
On February 10, the Minister of Law, in a written reply for Rajya Sabha on the query of BJD Prasanna Acharya, said The center has not received the resolution of the state of the formation of Vidhan Parishad.
