Mumbai: With the flow of active monsoon once more, IMD has issued an orange warning for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad, showing heavy rain to very heavy in isolated places for three days starting July 11.
For Saturday, the IMD has expected heavy rain in isolated places in the city and a side by side.
The IMD said it was insulated heavily with a very heavy rainfall of Maharashtra between 9 and July 13, while the rainfall was very heavy as well as excessive possibility in the Ghat Madhya Maharashtra area on July 12 and 13.
Meanwhile on Friday, even though nine hours ended 5.30 in the afternoon seeing a few rainfall activities in the city, the rainfall was significantly recorded in the city between July 8-9 (8.30am – 8.30 am) with the recording of the Observatory IMD Santacruz 72mm rain which falls in the category Heavy rain according to the classification of the IMD (heavy rain): 64.5mm-115.5mm).
The total rain recorded since June 1 by the Colaba Observatory is 756mm and the Santacruz Observatory is 1061.3mm which is 51.3mm below normal and 278.4mm above normal.
Meanwhile, active Monsun Mantra needs to bring some excitement for the lake that supply water to Mumbai because currently has a total water stock of 2.61 lakh million liters or 18% of the total shares needed.
Last year, the total stock on the same date was around 2.89 lakh million liters or 19.98% of the required stock.
