Vadodara: The only event to be held in the state as part of Kuela Hobe Divas organized by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) must be summoned on Monday at Godhra because the committee was denied permission by the school where a friendly soccer match was to be held .
The school quotes the risk of the third wave as the reason.
This event is planned by TMC’s State Convener Jitendra Khadayta.
The committee has prepared two teams that will fight in friendly football bonds.
They claim that players stand out at the district and state levels.
Khadayta said he had been looking for permission from the district administration after he was given permission to use the St.
Arnold School basis.
“Administration writes to us who state that the Covid protocol needs to be followed and, thus, no need for permission,” Khadayta said.
Khadayta said that on Sunday afternoon, however, the school itself sent him a letter stating that permission was withdrawn.
“The Principal has allowed us, but a higher school authority decided to oppose it,” Khadayta said, adding the rejection aimed at stopping the entry of TMC in the state.
