PANAJI: Goa University is likely to appoint a full time registrar at the end of this month, more than a year after the previous registrant YV Reddy resigned from the post on September 16, 2020, quoting health reasons.
Radhika nayak has acted as a registrant as a stop-gap setting since then.
Last month, Gu called on the application for the registrar post and received 10 applications.
Among applicants are academics from within universities and principals and lecturers from affiliated colleges, according to sources.
When mastering the registrar is five years, those who have five years or go more before reaching the age of 60 will get preferences to make office.
“Panitaris will be designated based on direct recruitment for a five-year term, which can be extended at the end of each five years, up to the age of 60,” Cave University Statute Statute.
Those who know that interviews are likely to be held immediately and full-time registrants will be appointed before the end of this month.
The Goa University has received floods as many as 267 applications earlier this year to Pos Deputy Chancellor, and finally Gu Dean Harilal B Menon was appointed as a new VC last month.
However, the Registrar Post only receives 10 applications as a domicile certificate is a required requirement for submitting posts, unlike VC posts, where India-based can register.
The registrant post fell in mid-September last year after Reddy resigned with only seven months left for his tenure.
The new Registrar was chosen based on the recommendation of the selection committee.
This committee consists of four members and chaired by the representative of Chancellor.
