Mysuru: The University of Mysore’s Academic Council has decided to allow BA LLB and BCOM LLB students to write their exams in Kannada.
Students write tests only in English before.
VC G Hemantha Kumar led the meeting on Thursday where the decision was taken.
The meeting also decided that the university would know how Kannada’s learning material must be provided at the university of law for students.
The university also approved various specialized courses tailored to industrial needs.
The meeting approved the proposal to launch courses such as BCA (Cloud Computing and Digital Science), BCA-Internet of Things, Bachelor of Vocational Study in Digital Architecture, BSC Food Management and Quality, Digital Course, Machine Learning, Python and BBA Programming in Flight Management, among others.
The meeting also agreed to the proposal to continue the autonomous status of college 14 degrees under the University for the following year.
These colleges include Maharani Science College, MySuru; SBRR Mahajan First Grade College, JSS Women’s College, JSS Arts Science and Commerce College, St.
Philomena’s College, Bharati Autonomous College, Bharatinagar, Mandya; Government Women College, Mandya; Government art and trade in trade, Hassan; and Government Science College, Hassan.
“We made some suggestions for this college at the time of our visit,” said VC Hemantha Kumar.
This meeting also approved a new gold medal proposal sent by donors.
Students from various hostels at the university held protests in front of the entrance of universities demanding quality food and increased various facilities at the hostel.
Protests were led by the Federation of Dalit Students.
Agitators accused the facilities at the University Hostel needed a facelift immediately.
They urged university authorities to solve their problems.
