Vadodara: The owl reportedly used for the tantric ritual (Black Magic) was saved by the Gujarat community for prevention of cruelty of animals (GSPCA) and wildlife volunteers in the city of Vadodara.
Ghost warehouse was found injured in the Gotri area on November 4 by volunteers who took it for medical care.
According to GSPCA, one of the Owl wings was cut by some unknown people.
“Maybe the work of some people who believe in the tantric rituals carried out at Chaudas times – the day before Diwali.
We have provided medical care and keeping a ghost under observation.
After recovering, it will be released in the original habitat,” said Raj Bhavsar, Secretary, GSPCA.
“In India, the owl is considered ‘Vahana’ or Mount Lakshmi – Dewi wealth and prosperity – worshiped during Diwali.
Many people believe that sacrificing owls in black magic rituals will give them help from Dewi.

On the night of November 3, almost a dozen people were also ordered to sacrifice two goats behind the Krematorium of Typical in Karelibaug.
GSPCA volunteers and forest officials invaded the place after they received a tip-off of animal sacrifice.
They found two dead goats buried after rituals in place.
