The technique in regional language was introduced as part of the national education policy from the academic year 2021-22.

While there are students who have entered them as an option in the initial round of counseling, not one of them reported to college.
Visvesvaraya University Technological, University Umbrella for all engineering colleges, stated surprised.
“College offers it in rural areas.
We hope there will be several takers.
Maybe parents have no trust in this program.
We will strengthen it and introduce it in more universities next year,” said Karisidappa, Vice-Chancellor, VTU.
Overall, there were 16,457 empty seats this year.
While 64,484 seats are available through CET, 48,027 seats have been taken by students.
In addition, 6,544 students have not downloaded receipt orders.
Thus the total number of empty seats is at 23001.
“This year, the number is better than last year because of the number of students who fainted from PU and the lack of cut-off in CET.
Many rural colleges have reported better intake.
Streamwise, civil engineering And mechanics continue to suffer, “VC said.
While counseling for the national feasibility entrance test, which makes chairs for medical and dental courses, has not yet begun, Kea official said there might be opportunities for students to leave engineering seats after they received a medical chair.
