Rajkot: Thieves penetrate a two bank ATM during curfew in the newly developed Nageshwar area on Jalan Jamnagar and was rejected by Rs 15 Lakh in early Friday.
One ATM is a nationalized bank and other private banks.
According to the police, thieves use a gas cutter to open an ATM.
The private bank ATM was damaged in 2019 and around Rs 10 Lakh was stolen.
PK Diyora, Assistant Commissioner of Police (West), said “The bank does not have a security guard outside the ATM.
We have asked the bank to install a system that tells the nearest police station when someone tries to solve the ATM, but the system also does not work.

“Police asked all banks to continue security guards and share their details with the police station in question.
Police sources said the Interstate Gang of ATM thieves had been active and Rajkot police had told the police in other districts as well.
Thieves come in a car and driver, who is their accomplice, leaving the place.
The gang member then entered the ATM and got off the window.
It takes around 15 minutes to cut the ATM machine, the police said.
Nageshwar joined the city corporation before the selection of civilian bodies.
It was lowned that the police also planned to ask the bank to close the ATM located on the outskirts from 11:00 to 6 in the morning to avoid the incident.
