Patna: In the midst of strict security for the visit of President of Ram Nath Kovind, the criminals revoke the automatic teller machine (ATM) from HDFC Bank and fled after containing it in the SUV in the village of Ishopur under the Phulwarishif area in Patna on Thursday.
The ATM has at least 20 lakh cash.
Police sources said the money was published at the ATM around 3 pm on Wednesday and theft occurred at around 1:30 a.m.
The police said four criminals with their closed faces can be seen in the recording of the neighborhood CCTV camera.
The criminals can look binding machines with a heavy strap and then pull it out.
At least two additional police (SAP) are armed with rifles at night almost a few meters from the ATM kiosk.
However, they did nothing to stop the criminals.
Sho of Phulwarisharif Rafique-Ur-Rahman Police Station said there were two ATM kiosks at a distance of 200 meters in the area.
“Jawan is deployed there every night because the area is theft and crime,” he said.
Rahman added HDFC Bank ATM managed by private companies and regional representatives, Raju Kumar Singh, has submitted the first forgery with a crime.
He said the police tried to identify criminals and arrest them.
