Mumbai: Minister of Health Maharashtra Rajesh Topes on Tuesday said the second wave of Pandemic Coronavirus had not receded in the country but at the same time unfavorable conditions to immediately trigger the third wave.
Speaking to reporters in Nashik District, Tope also said the Covid task unit has warned about the third wave of Post Post Dewali Season.
“The second wave of pandemics is not over.
But there is no favorable condition for the third wave as it is now.
The State Task Force has warned of the third wave to post the season.
We assess the situation,” he said.
Tope said more than nine crores, people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 with at least one dose in Maharashtra and 35 percent of them have taken both doses.
He also said that there was no new variant of Coronavirus that had been found and added that a special drive to investigate the people abandoned so far will continue until the Diwali festival, which will be celebrated in the first week of November.
Tope said the new challenge before the State Administration was to get students who were vaccinated against Covid-19.
He appealed to colleagues to advance for vaccination.
Colleges in Maharashtra will be reopened from October 20.
The government has said that it will be recommended if students fully inoculated to attend the physical class.
