Bengaluru / Batawayavi: states that “almost certain” that the third wave of Covid-19 “inevitable”, the Government of Karnataka on Sunday said it was seeing a louder sidewalk in the coming days and improving infrastructure to deal with medical exigities.
After the meeting with CM Basilvaraj Bommai before, Revenue Minister R Ashoka said the state government would receive and apply the recommendation of the Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) in full.
Applicable night hours will end on 7 Jan.
The high-powered committee in Covid-19 will meet on January 4 or 5 to discuss the need for more restrictions in the state.
“We will immediately impose more stringent restrictions throughout the state and urge people to work with the government.
Otherwise we may have to force locking in the country,” Ashoka said.
He quotes the example of Maharashtra, where the situation “deteriorated”, and said neighboring countries could announce immediately locking.
“We want to avoid the same situation by assessing the needs of the country in the coming days,” he said.
Bommai, in Besavavi, said the government was carrying out a two-branch battle – adding a health system and forcing a difficult restriction – against the virus.
“We made sure there was enough beds, ICU beds, and adequate oxygen supply to save lives.
I have directed the Ministry of Health to increase the number of ICU beds and speed up vaccination drive.
I have asked Pharmaceutical production to maintain production and supply intact.
CM said.
BOMMAI said that those who entered the state through the District of Belfestavi and Vijayapura had to bring negative RT-PCR reports and vaccination certificates and requested district administration to strengthen supervision on border checks.
“This examination will definitely cause discomfort for some passengers, but we must take this step to protect the Karnataka people,” CM said.
