MySuru: The Constituency of Local Authority Mysuru-Chamarajanagara recorded 99.73% of the votes on Friday.
Vote counting will be held on December 14 and the results will be expected at night.
Officials said 6,769 voters from a total of 6,787 (4,502 voters from MySuru and 2,269 from Chamarajanagar) run their franchises.
The Election Commission has established 393 polling booths in the district.
Prestige is at stake for the three political parties in the election battle for elections because the results are considered important for the election of upcoming assembly.
The election was a big challenge for Congress because it was contested by the retired government officer D Thimmiah by rejecting tickets to sit MLC R Dharmasena, a confidence of the former CM Siddaramaiiah.
Maintaining the constituency in Siddaramaiiah’s hometown is very important for the party to prove its dominance in the Mysore region.
A similar situation was faced by JD (s), which involved CN Manjegowda after refusing tickets to sit MLC Sandesh Nagaraj.
The party has been contested in the limited number of election seats.
The rebellion in the party by senior leaders such as GT Devegowda has forced the former CM HD Kumaraswamy to camp in Mysuru to find votes for candidates.
However, the results will be more important for the Minister of Collaboration St Somashekar, who is the Minister of MySore and Chamarajanagar District, rather than the Kautilya Raghu Party candidate.
The results will have the effect during the cabinet reshuffle which is likely to occur in January next year.
