Mangaluru: The spokesman for the Lavanya Congress Ballal has filed a complaint to the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner with Kamal’s pants on Monday who sought action against callers who threatened while participating in the discussion on Mangaluru-based TV channels.
Lavanya participated as Panca in discussions on local TV channels on September 30.
This discussion was at the recent moral policy incident where a group of medical students returned from Malpe Beach was harassed and attacked in Surathkal on September 26.
He had to ask the right-wing activists and look for tight action against the defendant.
Meanwhile, a caller threatened to hit him if he spoke in public.
Lavanya stated in his complaint that he participated in a direct debate on the news channel from his residence in Koramangala in Bengaluru.
He urged the police commissioner to arrest Sandeep from Mangaluru, who was allegedly threatened during TV discussions.
“The actions must begin in accordance with the law for criminal intimidation, humiliation of the simplicity of women and causes harassment to a little girl (daughter of Lavanya) by giving a threat to the public platform,” he insisted.
Senior Congress leaders including the opposition leader Siddaramaiiah, BK Hariprasad, Eshar Khandre, KH Muniyappa, Laxmi Hebbalkar and Sowmya Reddy also demanded that the callers must be arrested.
