Rajkot: An assessor and the other two were arrested on Tuesday for deceiving two branches of the Indian state bank (SBI) in Rajkot Rs 1.8 Crore.
The police said that 25 people were ordered to mortgage fake gold ornaments with the bank and take a loan against it.
The Bank Regional Manager has filed a complaint on Division Day at the A-Division Police Station.
The police said the key accused of fraud was a valuable people of Dhaval Choksi, who was arrested on Tuesday, along with Dinesh Mayar, a resident of Mahudi Road, and Deepak Ranapara.
According to the police, the defendant has taken loans from Road Tagore and Jagni SBI branches.
