Dibrugarh: Three Assam Rifles Jawan and one civilian arrested by police from the Jokai area of the city was depreciated on Thursday night while transporting drug consignments.
Police supervisor Shwetank Mishra said on Friday the police team was led by additional Spid Bitul Chetia intercepted the accusation when they passed in two vehicles.
They traveled from being crowned to Tinsukia for Rendezvous drugs and their vehicle searches caused the recovery of 269 grams of heroin.
The people who were arrested were identified as Ranjit Kumar Singha from Rifles 23 Assam, Binay Kumar of 16 Assam rifles, Juniush Khan of 7 Assam rifles and civilians, Pezlhoulie Rupreo.
Two vehicles – Bolero AS07-L-4096 and Tata Xenon NL-11-2673 – have been confiscated by the police.
The case has been registered in it at the police station was held under the 22 (c) section (c), 27A and 29 narcotics drugs and psychotropic substances (NDPS), 1985.

Other top police officials said Rifles Assam who was arrested might have worked as a “mules drug” for smugglers.
Mule drugs are terms used for human couriers in exchange for money.
