Jaipur: The day after nine people were tested positive for Omicron variants, three more people, who were tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday, were suspected of having contracted new variants who had just appeared in South Africa.
The three were 47-year-old Jaipur men who arrived from Germany on November 27, a 19-year-old medical student from the city who returned from Ukraine, and 46-year-old people from Adarsh ​​Nagar’s family who saw five members infected with variants.
The Ministry of Health will send samples from the three Omicron cases suspected for testing genomes.
The department has intensified the sampling and contact search after a family of four members from South Africa, who attended a wedding in the city on November 28, was tested positive for variants.
“We have notified Delhi’s health department about marriage because the brides are shown from Karkardoom in Delhi.
Twenty people from the bride’s family underwent testing but no one was tested positive,” said Dr.
Narrettam Sharma, Head of Medical Health Officer, Jaipur I.
Department too Launched a massive contact search in the wedding venue and checked with a transportation company that provides vehicles for the event.

In Sikar too, the bride’s family from AjiTgarh in the district was tested.
“We have collected 24 samples from families and staff working at their gas stations.

A 47-year-old man who tested Covid’s positive on Monday initially belonged to Vaishali Nagar in the city and worked in Germany.
Because of suspicion, the Ministry of Health has taken samples for testing genomes for omicron variants.
“He reached Jaipur on November 27 and had to return to Germany in one or two days.
For that he did Covid testing and found positive.
We have collected 16 samples of people who come into contact with him,” Dr Sharma said.
The 16-year-old Jaipur girl, who has gone for a medical study to Ukraine, was tested positive after undergoing a quick antigen test at the airport.
He has shifted to Covid-19 Ruhs Hospital specifically for further testing.
This is the first positive Covid case after a new guide for international travelers came into force in the city recently.
