Ahmedabad: Three people, including a Muslim cleric, have been arrested in connection with the murder of the 27-year-old man on Facebook’s post in the city of Dhandhuka from the Ahmedabad Gujarat district, a senior police official said on Friday.
Kishan Boliya was shot dead by two attackers who were transmitted by motorbikes in the Modhwada Dhandhuka area on January 25, when he drove a Pillion in his two-wheeled vehicle.
The police have arrested Shabbir Chopda (25), Imtiyaz Pathan (27), both the residents of Dhandhuka, and Maulvi Mohhamad Ayyub Javrawala (51), who came from the Jamalpur area of ​​Ahmedabad City, said an official.
Introduction investigation has revealed that Shabbir, who rode a Pathan motorcycle, had opened fire on Boliya, killed him in place, said Ahmedabad’s supervisor from Virendrasingh Police Yadav said.
“We focused on Shabbir and Pathhan after scanning CCTV recording installed on the route, which showed the duo following boliya on their motorcycle.
Shabbir is quite radicalized and related to Mumbai-based Maulvi, who asked him to be touched by Javrawala,” Yadav said .
During the Religious meeting at Ahmedabad a few months ago, which had been attended by Shabbir, Javrawala allegedly said that Muslims should not set aside people who insulted Islam, the official said.
On January 6, Boliya had shared a Facebook post, which according to Muslims and approached the police to take action, claimed it had hurt their religious sentiment.
Based on complaints, Dhandhuka police have submitted FIR to Boliya on January 9 and take legal action needed, he said.
“However, Shabbir was not happy with the pine and police action.
So he consulted the scholar and told him that he needed a weapon to teach Bistiya lessons to share the post.
Javrawala then gave him a gun and several cartridges.
With the help of his friend Pathan, Shabbir Shooting Boliya died on January 25, “Yadav said.
Before killing him, Shabbir saved a secret watch on boliya daily routines and movements for four to five days, said Yadav, added that the weapons used in crime have not been restored.
